By car:
You take the Tauern motorway (Tauernautobahn) A10, coming from the direction of Salzburg or Villach to the exit Bischofshofen. Follow the main road (311, Pinzgauer Bundesstraße) to St. Johann im Pongau. On arriving in St. Johann, turn off the main road at the junction with the Alpendorfstraße in the direction of Großarl and follow this road to Großarl. At the roundabout in Großarl take the first exit in the direction of Unterberg Mitte. Follow this road for about 700 metres and then turn right at the "Sport-Lackner" store. The Hotel Tauernhof is at the address Unterberg 85.
By public transport:
Take a train to St. Johann im Pongau, then a taxi for the rest of the journey to Großarl, or take a public bus. The bus number 540 departs from the railway station forecourt in St. Johann in the direction of Hüttschlag-Stockham. Get off the bus in Großarl.
By plane:
The closest airport is in Salzburg (SZG). With a rented car, the journey continues as described above. You can also take the train from the main station in Salzburg to the Hotel Tauernhof in Großarl. From the airport you can get to the railway station in Salzburg on bus route 2. The journey then continues as described above.
