    Jerzens in the Pitz Valley used to be a small mountain farming village with about 1,000 inhabitants. During the last few years, the consequent but careful enlargement of the Hochzeiger ski area has turned it into a modern holiday destination for winter and summer vacations.
    In summer Jerzens changes from a pulsating winter sports centre into a quiet Tyrolean mountain village. With its extensive hiking trails stretching over wide mountain slopes and its idyllic mountain pastures, Jerzens is a veritable paradise for hikers and mountaineers.

The Imst-Pitztal train station on the Innsbruck-Arlberg railway line is about 17 km from Jerzens. There are bus connections as well as a hotel shuttle.
