Opened in May 2008, the ad vineas Gästehaus Nikolaihof is a newly built guesthouse in the typical “Wachau” style, not far away from the famous Nikolaihof Wachau wine-growing estate.
    Located in Mautern on the southern bank of the Danube, only 5 km from Krems, the hotel offers very spacious, classically equipped rooms in the middle of the vineyards, with breathtaking views over the beautiful Wachau valley and Göttweig Abbey. The surrounding garden features a childrens playground and a sunbathing area under the shade of apricot trees. The rich buffet breakfast offers regional organic specialities.
Since summer 2009, the ad vineas Nikolaihof has a large swimming pond with a wooden deck in the garden.

    In the morning you can enjoy your breakfast from the rich buffet with regional organic specialities either in our bright breakfast room (which looks like a winter garden) or on our sunny terrace.
    In the evening our comfortable lounge with leather sofas invites you to end a lovely day with a nice glass of wine or browse through our comprehensive library of the Wachau region.

    The ad vineas Gästehaus Nikolaihof is only a few steps away from the Nikolaihof Wachau in the centre of Mautern, yet surrounded by vineyards and orchards. There is a multitude of culinary options in Mautern alone, including the Nikolaihof wine tavern, one of the numerous “Heurigen” taverns or the well-known Bacher country restaurant, which lies just around the corner.
    There are not only culinary pleasures, but also unlimited scenic, cultural and sports options in the Wachau region. The Wachau World Heritage Site welcomes you with a wide variety of sights, including Melk Abbey, the historic town of Dürnstein, and much more.
